Here's a cleverish cryptic crossword clue. It's easy to see what the answer must be, but it took me a little while to figure out how it fit the clue, which is the challenge. The enumeration was withheld in the original, but no reason not to include it here:

Yes, clever. It doesn't scan perfectly, but I can't come up with a better expression. Maybe "...from a half-second astronomical event" but then the question mark doesn't fit.
